Note that in addition to this major archive, several other categories of vintage and vernacular photographs are also being offered for sale. These include cabinet cards, a snapshot collection and more (see menu at left). While these other categories contain some fine images, they do not have the artistic, cultural and historic significance of the Portrait Archive.
The historic Vintage Images photographic portrait archive is now being offered for sale to institutions and major collectors. This is believed to be the largest and most topically diverse portrait collection ever assembled, and represents a unique acquisition opportunity.
